Xoom, a US-based digital money transfer provider, has expanded its money transfer service to Singapore.
The service will allow Xoom customers to now remit money online to bank accounts in Singapore via their US bank accounts, credit cards or debit cards.
With this service, funds can be transferred to 10 local banks in Singapore, including DBS, POSB, UOB, OCBC and Standard Chartered Bank, and deposited into the recipient’s account.
The service will charge a processing fee of $4.99 for sending up to $2,999 when paying with bank account.
Xoom will also allow customers to send money securely from their computer, tablet or mobile phone directly to any current account in the country.
Customers can send money to any bank online by downloading the Xoom’s app for Android and iOS mobile devices as well as with Xoom’s convenient StatusTrack feature.
Xoom vice president of business development Iain Allison said: "Our friends from Singapore will experience the most caring and responsive customer service anywhere 24/7/365, with live customer service representatives ready to take their calls any time of day or night. Plus, our service is absolutely risk-free – your money arrives or Xoom offers a money-back guarantee."
