American payments platform Play2Pay has teamed up with Indonesian telecom company Indosat Ooredoo to mark the launch of its gamified payments platform in Asian market.
Under the partnership, Indosat will deploy and offer Play2Pay’s payments platform to its prepaid customers.
Play2Pay’s platform enables mobile users to pay their phone bills by playing games, watching videos and completing special offers.
iPlay2Pay VP of carrier sales Chris Liveing said: “Indonesia is an extremely advanced market in the mobile and telecommunications industry which makes this launch with Indosat a perfect fit for Play2Pay as its first deployment in Asia.
“Indosat Ooredoo’s leadership position in digital services together with the world-class capabilities of the Play2Pay platform will deliver a unique and compelling proposition to their customers.”
Play2Pay’s platform is a fully-configurable white label app, which will be branded and configured for Indosat.
The app is said to offer a simple onboarding process and will support the company’s specific customer payment options.
Indosat’s prepaid customers can download the app from Google Play Store or via Indosat Ooredoo channels.
Indosat Ooredoo chief marketing officer Ritesh Singh said: “Play2Pay offers an exciting new proposition that is both practical and valuable to our broad base of prepaid subscribers.
“Our mobile services are used by millions and this platform will provide them with more flexible payment options – which will be important, especially at this time.”
