BitPay, a payment gateway for Bitcoin digital currency, has partnered with REVPAR GURU to launch a new payment method, GuestLeader, which allows users to pay for hotel rooms using Bitcoins.
Bitcoins is an open source, peer-to-peer payment system and a form of digital currency that can be carried anywhere without the risk of credit card fraud or low transaction fees.
GuestLeader is the world’s first and only Bitcoin compatible booking engine, claims the company.
With GuestLeader, guests can simply use Bitcoins to make payments during checkout, as the currency will automatically be converted into cash and will be transferred to hotel’s bank account.
The new technology will allow hotels of any size to reach to new customers, thus driving the growth of the business.
