A new service has been launched that enables
students at a college in the US to transact in foreign
currencies.
The CASHNet ePayment service allows
International students at Houston Community College (HCC) in Texas
to make payments in any currency.

The service is the result of a collaboration
between Higher One Payments, a technology and financial services
company, international payment services provider Travelex Global
Business Payments and HCC.
“This new service will help international
students before they arrive from their country of origin,” said
Nandy Baldonado, director of Student Financial Services at HCC.
“There was a lot of traffic in the business
office which will be avoided as students can now pay online,” she
added.
The service is a solution to counter the
challenges faced by international students in making tuition
payments in the US. Under the new system, students will have the
option of choosing from more than 20 currencies.
