Gemalto, a digital security firm, has been selected by Japanese mobile operator NTT DOCOMO for its mobile NFC services.
Gemalto will provide NTT DOCOMO with an end-to-end solution featuring its Allynis Trusted Service Management (TSM) service, as well as the UpTeq NFC UICC embedding both the SIM and contactless applications.
Gemalto believes that the collaboration reinforces its long-standing partnership with NTT DOCOMO, which includes Japan’s first Long Term Evolution (LTE) high-bandwidth wireless connectivity in 2010.
The launch will deliver a variety of contactless services encompassing mobile payments, loyalty programs, e-ticketing and access control.
Gemalto said that its solution will provide the highest level of convenience and security for NFC deployment and sensitive data management to all service providers.
