Wirelane charging stations are designed to simplify and expedite the charging process of electric vehicles compared to standard charging pillars.

Available for both private and public sectors, the Wirelane app provides access to 60,000 charging points in Europe.

The partners have already installed Wirecard software at around 6,000 points to enable all downstream settlement processes.

In future, Wirecard will develop a module that will allow contactless payments without the need for protracted registrations processes.

Paying at Wirelane charging stations

End customers can tap their NFC-enabled credit cards to initiate the charging process at Wirelane charging stations. The module will also support mobile payment wallets such as Google Pay and Apple Pay.
