Wincor Nixdorf, the German banking IT service provider, has developed a mobile wallet. The product is part of the company’s TP Application Suite software for retail companies and Service Station Suite (NAMOS) for service station companies.

Customers will be able to use the wallet in bricks-and-mortar, online and mobile stores using QR codes and NFC technology to process payments from all standard smart phones.

The company claims that the wallet also provides an ideal platform for combining different mobile payment and loyalty schemes redeeming mobile coupons or vouchers.

The wallet will be presented by the company at the National Retail Federation Annual Convention and EXPO in New York, which begins on Sunday.

2012 saw a large number of mobile wallets launched by a variety of companies entering the market.
