Visa has teamed up with Active Network, a marketplace for activities and events, to provide its Visa Checkout as a payment option across Active Network’s registration platforms in the US, Canada, Ireland and the UK.

Under the terms of the agreement, both Active Network and Visa will invest in a series of digital, cross-promotional marketing activities.

Starting this summer, Active Network will offer Visa Checkout as a payment option for users who registers for an activity or event through Active.com and its mobile app, in addition to any in-app purchases.

Visa Checkout allows consumers to pay quickly and safely on any device around the web.

Active Network chief information officer Greg Ingino said: “This unique relationship between Active and Visa is not only mutually beneficial for our two companies, it’s a win for our customers as well as for consumers seeking both convenience and security when registering for activities and events.

“We’re consistently working to integrate new solutions into our technology suite that benefit our customers. By adding Visa Checkout, we’re making it easier for people to register for and participate in our customers’ events and activities.”
