VeriFone will launch PAYware Ocius, a
multi-channel platform for processing card transactions across all
sales channels including online, mobile and at the point of sale
payments, in the UK and Ireland.

VeriFone said it complements the existing
PAYware solution for retailers and reinforces also the UK payment
gateway Commidea.

In January Verifone acquired Commidea, part of
the Stockholm-based Point Group, one of northern Europe’s largest
providers of POS services for retailers as part of its strategy to
grow its distribution network.

VeriFone said PAYware Ocius supports all types
of card processing such as card not present , wireless and
unattended payment devices, e-commerce solutions and mail and
telephone order (MOTO) payments.

Tony Saunders, vice-president and general
manager, VeriFone UK and Ireland said:

“Our customers increasingly need a payment
services and support partner to manage not only card acceptance and
PCI compliance, but also the growing variety of multi-channel
services and apps, such as e-commerce, mobile wallets, loyalty, CRM
and more”.
