United Airlines, Chase and Visa extend United MileagePlus credit card programme

United Airlines, Chase Card Services, and Visa have agreed for a multiyear extension of United MileagePlus credit card programme.

The agreement, which extends into 2029, marks the continuation of a business partnership that spans over 30 years.

Commenting on the multiyear extension of MileagePlus, United Airlines vice president of loyalty Luc Bondar said: “United Airlines, Chase and Visa have a longstanding partnership that delivers top benefits to customers to help them get the most out of their travel, while returning robust value to our respective businesses.

“This extension strengthens ties with our partners at Chase and Visa and is expected to drive growth across our industry-leading credit card portfolio, enhance our cardholders travel experience and provide more opportunities to easily earn and redeem miles to travel United’s industry leading route network.”

The portfolio of co-brand cards by the United Airlines, JP Morgan Chase and Visa include the new United Business Card, United Club Card, United Explorer Card, United TravelBank Card and United Club Business Card.

Chase Co-Brand Cards president Ed Olebe said: “We’re pleased to extend our decades-long relationship with United and Visa in order to deliver even more value to our joint card members. The program has deep card member loyalty and fantastic momentum, with exciting new offerings and experiences for our customers to look forward to in 2020 and beyond.”

Customers with eligible MileagePlus credit cards have access to benefits on United’s route network including free checked bags, priority boarding and increased mileage earn on every day spending.

United and Chase launched United Business card earlier this year.
