UATP, a travel payment network, has formed an alliance with corporate payment solutions provider WEX to offer the WEX Virtual Credit Card Solution (VCC) to the UATP network.
Delta Air Lines will serve as the launch UATP Issuer, making use of the WEX VCC solution for expanded card acceptance for hotel as well as car rental purchases.
The VCC solution will enable UATP corporate account holders to pay for hotel and rental cars.
Corporate travellers will be offered a single-use virtual credit card number that can be used in any currency settled by WEX, and a single consolidated travel statement for all of their air, hotel and rental car bookings.
UATP president and CEO Ralph Kaiser said: “Working with WEX, we have created a solution that will enhance the UATP Network by allowing corporates to add hotels and rental cars to their UATP accounts.
“As the pioneer of single-use payment technology, we know that WEX will provide top-notch service to our Network and its customers.”
