Specialist Holidays Group (SHG), part of TUI Travel PLC, has teamed with Barclays to allow customers to pay for holidays via Barclays Pingit app on their mobile phones.
The app is free to download and can be used by customers who have a UK mobile number and a UK bank account.

SHG brands allowing the new payment option will include Sovereign Luxury Travel, Meon Villas, Hayes & Jarvis, Crystal Ski Holidays, Austravel, Citalia, American Holidays and Sunsail.
Colin Parselle, finance director at Specialist Holidays Group, said: "We recognise that our customers want choice when it comes to their payment options and Barclays Pingit provides a quick, easy and convenient way for them to pay for their holiday bookings. The ease and speed of the service makes it ideal for both our customers and us, particularly as funds are cleared immediately which improves the overall booking journey for our customers."
Barclays Bank of Kenya, a subsidiary of Barclays UK, has also recently unveiled a cardless money transfer service that allows customers to send and receive money at any Barclays ATM.
