TransFirst, a provider of transaction processing services and payment enabling technologies, has announced in conjunction with VeriFone Systems that it now offers its merchant customers the EMV- and NFC-capable VX 680 wireless terminal from VeriFone.

"As the payment processing industry evolves, TransFirst is committed to remaining on the cutting edge and helping our merchants reap the benefits," says Steve Cadden, TransFirst’s president of shared services and COO. "Our close relationship with VeriFone enables us to leverage their tech-forward solutions like the VX 680 wireless terminal to achieve that goal."

"We’re eager to work with TransFirst in providing U.S. merchants a smooth transition as the U.S. payment card industry adopts alternative payments and adapts to the EMV standard that is now accepted virtually worldwide," says Jennifer Miles, president of VeriFone Americas. "Merchants can select these solutions secure in the knowledge that TransFirst is ready to help them with their payment acceptance needs of today and tomorrow."

The VeriFone VX 680 offers the portability and processing power to fit the needs of any small business. Its wireless, 3G connectivity feature enables merchants to accept credit and debit card payments anywhere in just seconds, while easy-to-use touch-screen technology and a bright, 3.5-inch color screen make the terminal simple to use. Its EMV and contactless processing compatibility mean merchants are prepared for tomorrow’s payment technologies today.
