Electronic payment processing
provider Smartlink has selected BASE24-eps, a software solution for
online payments processing by ACI WorldWide, in a bid to enable
cardholders in Vietnam to access any ATM regardless of who they
bank with.
The solution is powered by IBM
Power Systems infrastructure and acts as a shared payment switch
between Smartlink’s member banks as well as connecting to Vietnam’s
other national switch.

BASE24-eps will enable Smartlink to
roll out direct ATM driving, POS driving, and connections to Visa,
MasterCard, American Express, JCB and Diners Club in the
future.
Smartlink is one of the largest
national retail payment switch companies in Vietnam, but this deal
acts as a breakthrough for ACI as it lands its very first customer
in the country.

terms of existing customers and on-the-ground support, made the
company the obvious choice for this investment,” said Smartlink CEO
and general director Nguyen Tu Anh.
