Robocoin is to launch its second bitcoin automated teller machine (ATM) in Hong Kong by the end of January 2014.

The company is currently looking into various locations in the country to deploy the machine.

Registration at bitcoin ATM can be completed within five minutes when compared to traditional ATM, which requires lengthy registration process for online bitcoin exchanges.

The first bitcoin cash machine by Robocoin was opened in a Vancouver coffee shop in October 2013.

Robocoin CEO, Jordan Kelley, said the firm chose Hong Kong for the launch of its second ATM due to the country’s strong links to Vancouver.

"The government takes a progressive approach to emerging technologies, and it is important to get something going in the Asian economies," Kelley added.
