Reliant has launched a convenient and new cash payment method by offering personalised barcodes to residential customers across Texas, the US.

Furthermore, in partnership with payments technology firm InComm, the count of locations where customers of Reliant can make payments has been doubled to 10,000.

Reliant customers will be able to now to pay their bill with cash when checking out at authorised retail locations.

Reliant president Elizabeth Killinger said: “At Reliant, we are making life more convenient for our customers with the latest technology.

“We know some customers prefer to pay their bills with cash, so we’ve made it easier than ever by doubling the number of retail locations they can choose from and offering a personalised barcode.

Customers can now access their personal barcode to use while checking out in shopping places, with more than 5,000 retail locations are part of InComm’s VanillaDirect payment network.

This new barcode payment option aids to remove the need for customers to wait in service lines or remember their account numbers.

To make a payments, customers only need to have barcode and cash, and payment are processed credited to accounts within 30 minutes. The payments can be made on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

To obtain barcode, customers can texting barcode to 697-697, Reliant online account dashboard and Reliant app.

InComm senior vice president Tim Richardson said: “We’re excited to have our network provide more cash payment options for Reliant’s customers across Texas.
