Point of Sale (PoS) products manufacturer PAX Technology has partnered with card acquirer and payment service provider Truevo Payments to launch PoS solutions in the UK.

Under the collaboration, both the firms will introduce their PoS solution to small and medium-sized businesses in the UK and Ireland. The solution will then be launched in the remaining parts of Europe.

Truevo is set to launch an auto-onboarding programme to decrease the lead time of business owners’ plans to accept cards to when they are able to do so.

The programme will allow the company to deliver 24 hour approval with a terminal in hand within 48 hours instead of 96 hours to 6 weeks’ time.

PAX’s A920 model is an Android-based terminal, which features easy to read HD colour screen, quick thermal printer.

It supports contactless cards and electronic signature as well as fast payment processing because of its large memory.

Truevo managing director for UK Jon Barras said: “With our collaboration with PAX, we’re closing the frustrating gap of businesses having to wait an inordinate amount of time to have a working terminal.

“While many payment service providers will be relying on tedious, manual processes to get businesses up and running, our system will have unprecedented 24 hour approval for the good majority of customers. This is a game-changer for businesses from retail to restaurants.”

PAX’s terminals are utilised in more than 110 countries with 40 million terminals in use globally.
