Under the partnership, Dejamobile provides Blackhawk with its white label card digitisation solution.

This enables One4all digital gift cardholders to use them on a mobile device with the help of a customised app.

Dejamobile’s digital payments expertise allows both the purchaser and the recipient of the gift cards to gift, send, receive and use the gift cards using the app.

Dejamobile chief growth officer Lorcan Burke said: “This new instant digital experience enhances the strong brand reputation of One4all in terms of innovation and value and maintains Blackhawk’s position as a market leader in the gifting and payments sector.”

The digital gift card, which works on the Visa platform, was launched to the Irish market in November 2019.

The gift card, which is accepted at 60,000 stores throughout the UK and Ireland, can be purchased, customised and sent online using a secure website, and spent in-store or online.

One4all and Dejamobile’s alliance enables One4all’s network of retailers to accept the digital white label gift card in their stores.

Blackhawk Network Digital project lead Declan Byrne said: “The new One4all Digital Gift Card represents the future of gifting for businesses and individuals, enabling a truly personalised, convenient and secure solution in line with current tech trends.”

The physical One4all gift cards can be bought online through one4all.com, or at Post Office, Tesco, Morrisons and Co-Op outlets.
