Norwegian IT group Evry has inked a partnership deal with German technology group Giesecke & Devrient (G&D) to provide cloud-based mobile payment solution.

The deal will allow Evry to offer secure and user-friendly mobile payments to banks and their customers, at any merchant location that has a contactless payment terminal. Evry serves 150 banks across the Nordic and Baltic regions and the UK and Ireland.

The partnership will also give Evry access to G&D’s latest chip and technology products.

Evry has licensed its G&D Convego CloudPay mobile payment system, which supports contactless payments for NFC-enabled mobile devices with Host Card Emulation (HCE).

EVRY executive vice president for financial services Wiljar Nesse said: “EVRY is pleased to announce its partnership with G&D.
