Mobisafar Services, an India-based fintech start-up, has teamed up with YesBank and National Payments Corporation of India to launch Mobisafar Virtual RuPay Prepaid card in India.

Mobisafar has presence in more than 13000 pin codes and offers services such as money transfer, Aadhar- enabled payment system, cash collection, bill payments, micro ATM, recharges, etc., to rural customers, reported ANI.

With a reloadable limit, this prepaid card offers convenience in accessing wallet through a mobile app and desktop.

The Mobisafar Virtual RuPay Prepaid card can be used to book airline tickets, hotels, retail shopping, movie tickets, or pay for groceries, etc.

In order to avail the virtual prepaid card, customers may be required to visit the closest Mobisafar retail outlet.

Commenting on the partnership, Mobisafar MD & CEO Abhishek Kumar Pandey was quoted by the news agency as saying: “This tie-up with Yes Bank and RuPay will act as an enabler to deliver fintech services that truly fits the needs of both the business and consumers. This unique innovation is in line with the Government of India’s vision for ‘Make in India’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat.”
