Mexico’s leading financial institution for
SMEs and the agricultural sector, Banco del Bajjo, has selected
digital security provider Gemalto’s Allynis Instant Artwork
solution, enabling it to provide small quantities of customised
smart payment cards with the artwork of their choosing.
According to Gemalto, the Instant Artwork
solution aims to solve common marketing challenges for banks like
Banco del Bajio by enabling them to offer a larger variety of
banking cards without the constraint of minimum volumes.

Gemalto gave us the confidence to expand our use of the company’s
innovative offerings with this solution,” said Manuel Duvignau
López Portillo, executive manager of Issuance and Acquiring.
“Gemalto’s solution helps us handle customised
artwork and demand for smaller batches. We can now offer a broader
portfolio of customised artwork cards, reinforcing our
competitiveness in the market.”
Using the solution, is claimed that Banco del
Bajio can now respond quickly to demand for customised cards by
simply selecting a specified artwork and ordering any quantity of
cards. Gemalto aims to deliver the cards to customers within 48 to
72 hours of order placement.
“With our Allynis Instant Artwork, Banco del
Bajio has the ability to handle fluctuating card demand, providing
for more control over their entire card management process, and
allowing for customers to receive their card in record time,” said
Eric Megret-Dorne, senior vice president of Gemalto.
