Meta Payment becomes Berkeley Payment’s issuing bank in US

Meta Payment Systems, a division of MetaBank, has agreed to become issuing bank of Canada-based Berkeley Payment Solutions in the US.

Meta Payment Systems, a division of MetaBank, has agreed to become issuing bank of Canada-based Berkeley Payment Solutions in the US.

Under the partnership, Meta Payment Systems will provide corporate payment cards and a variety of loyalty, reward, and promotion solutions for Berkeley’s clients.

Berkeley CEO Jonathon Hamburg said: "Given the opportunities in the U.S. payments, loyalty, and incentive space, our partnership will enable both companies to benefit from each other’s strengths and expertise and provide quality solutions to our clients in an aligned, compliant way."

MetaBank president Brad Hanson said: "Our relationships with quality partners like Berkeley coupled with a robust compliance infrastructure allow us to provide scalable, sound solutions to the marketplace."
