MBNA, a UK-based credit card company, has launched a new website that can be viewed by customers on different devices.

The move by the company was to meet the increasing demand from customers, as around 35% of new traffic for the website comes through mobile and tablet devices.

The multi-platform website is designed based on responsive web templates that recognise the device being used to view the site online on desktop PC, laptop, tablet or mobile phone.

MBNA business development and marketing executive Michael Donald said their customers are showing them that they want and they expect them to continue to innovate to make their life easier.

"The new responsive design of our website puts our online provision up with the very best in financial services in the UK.

"The optimisation of the full website was the next logical step. We can now boast leading edge website functionality, and our existing customers – and those who want to use our services – can be confident that we continue to remain committed to responding to their needs," Donald added.
