MasterCard has launched its MasterPass digital service in Brazil, allowing consumers to use any payment card or enabled device to shop with a click, tap or touch – online or in-store.
With MasterPass, consumers need not enter detailed shipping and card information to complete their online shopping at merchant sites thus simplifying the process of completing a transaction, the company said.
In addition, they can access their wallet of choice and authenticate with a password to checkout by clicking on the MasterPass button.
A suite of services that are offered by MasterPass include checkout services, connected wallets and value added services.
MasterCard Brazil and Southern Cone Products vice president, Marcelo Tangioni, said, "Consumers are embracing a digital lifestyle and, to meet this shift, shopping and payment experiences need to evolve.
"With MasterPass, all connected devices can become shopping devices, and allow consumers to make purchases from any location."
"MasterPass also permits each establishment to customize and decide on the most important purchase experience for its consumer and for its business. All this with the guarantee and strength that only a global processing network can offer," added Tangioni.
