Ooredoo Qatar, Mastercard and QNB have rolled out Ooredoo Money Virtual Prepaid Card and Contactless Tap & Go Mastercard cards in Qatar.

Aligned with Qatar National Vision 2030, Ooredoo aims to boost digitalisation of the economy in Qatar and launch the latest in digital payment solutions, in order to enable consumers, easy and convenient options to carry out transactions.

By using the Ooredoo Money app, consumers can directly apply for the Mastercard Virtual Prepaid card.

Quick issuance of digital cards becomes possible through this product and enables users to carry out secure online payments.

With this partnership, Ooredoo Money will be able to issue Mastercard’s Contactless Tap & Go physical cards, which in turn allows contactless and frictionless payments using secure Near Field Technology while shopping at any place across the world.

Users can also issue Contactless Tap & Go physical cards from Ooredoo Money shops in the weeks to come.
