Payments provider Klarna has announced the rollout of its new iOS price drop widget allowing consumers to access the latest deals and sales.
Through Klarna’s new widget, consumers now have access to real-time updates on price changes for their saved items by looking at the home screen on their smartphone.

The widget rotates through a selection of shoppers’ most relevant items and saved products based on price updates, with the aim of ensuring customers do not miss out on an opportunity.
Daniel Lange, Senior Product Director at Klarna, said: “With online shopping becoming the new norm and as people prepare for the upcoming holiday season, the Klarna app can play an integral role in simplifying this busy shopping period. With these new features, we want shoppers to feel in control while getting access to all of the best products and brands in a simple and tailored way, all from the comfort of home.”
The announcement comes as most holiday shopping is expected to be online this year, due to country-wide lockdowns causing many to stay at home.

The feature launched alongside new curated holiday Wish Lists, deals and content to help shoppers buy gifts during the holiday season. In addition, the widget is available in three different sizes and is an extension of the Klarna app.

The app will also now provide trending Black Friday shopping deals from merchants including Foot Locker, GameStop, and Express, among others. Furthermore, the new Deals section aims to provide users a dedicated space to search and browse a list of thousands of merchant discounts that are updated daily.
