HSBC, Deutsche Bank, BNP Paribas, Citi and
Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) are the top five leaders in European
corporate cash management, according to the latest Greenwich
Associates study.
The 2012 Greenwich Leaders: European Corporate
Banking study shows that both HSBC and Deutsche Bank have the
densest market penetration in European large corporate cash
management with 32% each. BNP Paribas has 31%, while Citi and RBS
have 30% and 27% respectively.
Within the Eurozone, Deutsche Bank and BNP
Paribas each have a market penetration rate of 37% in corporate
cash management. UniCredit ranks 3rd with 31%, HSBC has 29% and
Commerzbank and Citi have 28% and 27% respectively.
The study is based on 413 respondents from
top-tier companies.
“These executives are asked to name the banks
they use in overall corporate banking, cash management and capital
advisory services, to quantify the share of their business
allocated to each bank, and to rate these banks according to a
series of important criteria,” the study says.
