Giesecke & Devrient (G&D) has introduced the next generation dual interface EMV product, which offers all features needed for full compliance with the Durbin Amendment.

The new EMV products have been designed to help US financial institutions provide innovative credit and debit products as they migrate their portfolios.

Dubbed Convego Join, G&D’s GlobalPlatform and EMV compliant chip card platform incorporates a wide array of US debit EMV certified products.

The platform supports both contact as well as contactless payment interfaces, and is currently touted as the fastest and most secure EMV product available in the market.

According to feedback from card issuers, G&D’s EMV products offer a 50% to 70% increase in personalisation speed compared to other products, which in turn, facilitates streamlined issuance and optimises costs.
