Discover, the American financial services company, has accredited FIME, a global payment consultancy, to perform Discover Payment Application Specification (D-PAS) card personalization validation (CPV) for its card issuers.
FIME, which is a technical associate of EMVCo, will support both Discover and Diners Club International card issuers to achieve compliance with Discover’s EMV requirements as a part of the payment network’s EMV migration activity.
It will provide customized, practical consulting to payment card issuers and acquirers to implement EMV chip payments in any marketplace.
Discover global head of chip payments Ellie Smith said: "As joint owners of EMVCo, Discover continues to drive the adoption of chip payments globally. Discover maintains high standards for our chip program, and FIME’s EMV expertise has allowed us to streamline processes to ensure efficient issuance of D-PAS around the globe."
