The company is an integrated merchant acquirer and payment processor in more than 50 markets and 150 currencies worldwide.

Cardstream is a PCI DSS Level 1 compliant provider of payment solutions within a scalable payment infrastructure. The company supports all worldwide currencies and all major card schemes in over 120 countries for its current portfolio exceeding 100 reseller partners and 18,000 merchants.

The partnership will allow EVO to use Cardstream’s partner network to rapidly bring new technologies to its merchants.

EVO Payments president of international Darren Wilson said: “Our strategic partnership with Cardstream will enable us to provide merchants with additional capabilities that complement our in-house solutions, broadening both our current product offering and our distribution channels.”

In August this year, JCB International, the international operations subsidiary of JCB Co., has partnered with EVO Payments to allow JCB payment acceptance across the UK and Ireland.

The partnership follows a successful trial in Poland in 2017 when JCB acceptance was allowed for existing EVO merchants.
