EBANX, a global technology company, has integrated Unified Payments Interface (UPI) Autopay into its cross-border payments platform, in collaboration with Indian private sector bank lender YES BANX.

This move allows cross-border e-commerce merchants to leverage the recurring payments feature of UPI for their clients in the country.

The integration enables global e-commerce merchants in sectors such as SaaS, streaming, and subscription-based services to offer their Indian customers the option of recurring payments.

It also includes one-time UPI transactions and card payments for cross-border commerce.

EBANX India country director Rashmi Sapute said: “India is a unique market with incredible opportunities and a burgeoning digital consumer segment. UPI Autopay offers a groundbreaking way for global businesses to tap into the growing base of digital consumers in the country. We are proud to be at the forefront of this offering, simplifying cross-border payments and enabling our merchants to seize India’s vibrant digital economy,” she added.

“With the integration of UPI Autopay, merchants can leverage UPI’s already strong position in the market, facilitating recurring transactions and expanding access to digital commerce to an even wider audience.”
