Discover has collaborated with Garmin International, enabling its cardholders to make contactless payments with Garmin Pay.

Garmin Pay is compatible with a range of Garmin watches including the vívoactive 3 series, Forerunner 645, Forerunner 645 Music and fēnix 5 Plus series, along with the D2 Delta aviator watch series.

In order to make payments using Garmin Pay, cardholders need to add their Discover card to Garmin’s virtual wallet.

The service will be supported by merchant retail locations accepting Discover and contactless NFC transactions.

The cardholders utilising Garmin Pay will also continue to have access to their usual card benefits such as rewards and fraud protection.

Discover vice president of e-business Shaida Lynch said: “Consumers are constantly on the go and our goal is to make it as simple and seamless as possible for our cardmembers to pay with their Discover card, including on IoT and wearable devices.
