US-based financial services firm Discover has agreed to accept Verve Global Card into its payments brand Discover Global Network.

Verve is Interswitch Group’s card scheme in Africa. It offers products and solutions to enable Nigerian consumers to make domestic and international transactions.

The latest move will enable cardholders to use their Verve Global Card on the Discover Global Network.

It expands Verve’s existing suite of payment solutions for its customers providing its Global Card customers with new cross border transaction capabilities.

All cardholders can now make payments outside Nigeria on the Discover Global Network. Additionally, they are also entitled to multiple benefits including reward and loyalty schemes.

Verve International Divisional CEO Mike Ogbalu III said: “The launch of the Verve Global Card, provides consumers with the ability to transact globally across the US and other countries, addressing challenges that many Nigerians have experienced while travelling abroad.
