Deutsche Telekom has unveiled its NFC mobile wallet, MyWallet, in Germany, allowing customers to make low value contactless payments at MasterCard PayPass terminals.

MyWallet can be used by all Deutsche Telekom mobile network customers with an NFC-capable smartphone.

To use the service, customers must download the MyWallet app and link it to a MasterCard pre-paid account given by Deutsche Telekom’s ClickandBuy International.

Customers with select Samsung and Sony mobile phones running on Android platform can use NFC-enabled SIM cards, while other phones and operating systems can use contactless stickers to make payments.

To attract customers, Deutsche Telekom is offering €40 as a bonus for people who sign up for the wallet and promises to add new features such as coupons in coming summer.

Deutsche Telekom further plans to expand the service to Slovakia and Hungary later in 2014.
