CPI Card Group, a provider of payment card production services, in collaboration with Evolis has launched Precision by Card@Once, a payment card printer to drive instant issuance.
The new offering features a colour touch screen display that will allow users to track the progress of the printing process.
CPI said that the data security of the printed cards is ensured through a dual access control locking mechanism, which requires a trackable physical key and an access code.
The company has also integrated Evolis’ KINECLIPSE technology that hides residual sensitive card holder information on printing ribbons.
KINECLIPSE enables the system to secure the issuance of cards and comply with the international security guidelines for the instant issuance of payment cards in bank branches.
Evolis key account manager Jean-Charles Pichon said: “Precision by Card@Once delivers the speed, quality and user experience that issuers need for an effective instant issuance program, while considerably reducing the wait time for customers to receive a fully functional payment card in the branch.”
CPI Card Group senior vice president of sales and marketing Lane Dubin said: “CPI Card Group has a proven history of driving innovation within our industry and this commitment is readily apparent in the development of the Card@Once Precision printer.”
“We work closely with our customers to provide programs that support their strategic initiatives and our instant issuance solution has been thoughtfully designed to enhance the branch experience for customers and staff alike.”
