PaySec, a Philippines-based payments service provider, has named Koen Vanpraet as its new CEO.

In his new role, Vanpraet will be responsible to expand the firm’s presence beyond its Asian borders, by launching its payments technology to new international markets.

He most recently held the role of chief commercial officer at Credorax and prior to that he worked at GlobalCollect (now Ingenico ePayments).

Commenting on the appointment, Vanpraet said: “I am very excited to join PaySec. The company has been very successful in tackling a challenging yet very rewarding Asian payment landscape and we all feel it is now time to export that proven track record and high focus on client relationships across additional regions including EMEA, Latin America and, ultimately, the US.

“I will be working closely with the experienced and established executive team to combine our existing payment and processing solutions with additional in-house and third party solutions. This will enable us to become a global PSP brand offering a vast and extensive portfolio of products, services and professional relationships.”
