British Airways introduces digital Executive Club membership cards

British Airways has introduced digital cards for its Executive Club members with iOS and Android mobile devices.

British Airways has introduced digital cards for its Executive Club members with iOS and Android mobile devices.

The digital cards will be available to customers with Blue cards via the British Airways app or it can also be downloaded from the British Airways website after logging in to the Executive Club account.

Plastic cards will remain valid for use for Bronze, Silver and Gold card holders who will continue to receive welcome packs and plastic cards in the post.

The digital version that displays the membership details like the plastic card in addition to sending new updates to customers will include an option to book flights using Avios points and a process to upgrade flight using cash.

James Hillier, global executive club manager of British Airways, said: "We’re pleased to be able to offer customers more options with our app, like access to our Executive Club card digitally. We know our customers enjoy innovative and intuitive technology that helps them on their journey."
