Banque Populaire and Caisse d’Epargne (BPCE) has teamed up with Natixis Payment Solutions and Oberthur Technologies (OT) to pilot the first payment card integrating OT’s dynamic cryptogram solution, Motion Code.

The payment card replaces the three-figure CVV code on the back of the card with a small screen display that automatically changes periodically.

BPCE is planning to pilot OT’s Motion Code solution in September 2015 with 1,000 customers.

The payment card is completely transparent and features three-figure cryptogram mini-screen on the back of the card.

Using OT’s technology, the card prevents fraudsters from stealing the code either visually or online by regularly and automatically changing the card security code.
