Cardholders at Bank Freedom in the US are now
able to load their prepaid cards at remittance specialist
MoneyGram’s agent locations.

Bank Freedom, a subsidiary of Prepaid Card
Holdings, and MoneyGram signed a loading agreement which means
users can top up their cards for $3.95 at around 40,000 more
locations in the US.

“MoneyGram’s leading reload network and Bank
Freedom’s expansive reach within the underbanked sector, ensure
that millions of Americans who rely on prepaid debit cards as their
primary form of currency have a fast and affordable option to load
their cards,” said Rick Galasieski,
senior vice president at Bank Freedom.

The MoneyGram load network enables cardholders
to add cash loads to their prepaid cards instantly, which are then
available at MoneyGram agents. Three Bank Freedom prepaid debit
card programmes are now eligible to load cash through the MoneyGram
network: CardNow prepaid debit cards, AFSCME Advantage and Bank
Freedom prepaid debit cards.
