American Express (AmEx) and Uber have signed an agreement that will allow AmEx to integrate its corporate card programmes with Uber's corporate platform 'Uber for Business' in India.
AmEx is the first card to be accepted on the central pay platform of Uber.
AmEx India country business head of global corporate payments Saru Kaushal said: “Our Corporate Card program is considered as a preferred expense management solution by world's leading businesses.
“This new initiative with Uber in India will further bolster our value proposition. Uber for Business is expected to help companies to reduce their car rental expenses by around 60%, while offering increased reliability and transparency.
“Integration of American Express Corporate Card within the solution will offer added benefit of seamless payment and extended payment terms for our clients."
With the latest agreement, firms leveraging Amex corporate card programme will now be able to use Uber's global presence.
