American Express OPEN has launched the updated version of SimplyCash business credit card that allows entrepreneurs to select 3% cash back in one of seven business-related expense categories.
The seven categories are airfare purchased from airlines, hotel rooms purchased from hotels, car rentals purchased from select car rental companies, US gas stations restaurants, purchases for advertising in select media, and US purchases for shipping.
For small business owners, the enhanced card will continue to offer 5% cash back at US office supply stores and on wireless telephone services purchased directly from US service providers, 1% cash back on other purchases, and 5% and 3% cash back rewards on purchases in each category up to $25,000 per rebate year in each tier.
With no annual membership fee, the card allows users to change their 3% cash back category annually as per their business needs.
Additionally, all the cards come with built-in features such as ReceiptMatch, spending limits and alerts, account manager, year-end summary and download activity.
American Express OPEN vice president and general manager, Ramya Narayanan, said there is no such thing as one size fits all when it comes to solutions for small business owners.
"The same should be true of their Business Card benefits. The new SimplyCash Business Credit Card gives entrepreneurs greater control and choice over what cash rewards they receive and how to reinvest them in their business," Narayanan added.
