Allied Irish Bank (AIB) is promoting a new P2P payments service, Me2U Android and iOS app, using NFC technology in Ireland.

As part of the promotion, AIB campaign will use posters in cinema lobbies, bus shelters and phone kiosks containing a tag that users can tap with their NFC phones to download the Me2U app.

The Me2U app will allow customers to send money from a valid euro personal AIB Visa debit or credit card to a recipient’s euro personal Visa card by entering the recipient’s mobile number.

The app is currently available for Apple and Android devices. The campaign is being supported by Starcom and outdoor specialist Source Out of Home.
