Payment brand provider CardinalCommerce
Corporation has announced the addition of Alipay, China’s
third-party online payment platform, to its eCommerce group
Cardinal Centinel.

The deal will allow Cardinal customers
immediate access to a large number of Chinese consumers who wish to
purchase international goods through Cardinal Centinel.

“Alipay’s dedication to creating a simple,
secure, and speedy online payment solution parallels Cardinal’s
philosophy,” said Mike Keresman, CEO of CardinalCommerce.

“We are confident the thousands of Centinel
merchants and our future Customers can grow their international
businesses rapidly with Alipay.”

Alipay is China’s first third-party online
payment platform to offer a cross-border payment solution. It
currently has more than 550m registered users and facilitates more
than 8.5m transactions daily.

Alipay, an affiliate of the Alibaba Group,
will join payment brands such as Verified by Visa, MasterCard
SecureCode and PayPal in the Cardinal Centinel network.
