Payment system provider’s ACI has released ACI Money Transfer System 5.0, a payment processing management product.

The company claims that this new version offers financial institutions a flexible model to use when managing its payment processing systems. This includes repair reporting, which ACI says reduces repair activity in a banks back office and a SWIFT network validation kit which is designed to stop corrupt files disrupting payment processing flows.

ACI also stressed the importance of Money Transfer 5.0’s expanded global clearing channels, with particular emphasis on the Middle East region. Arabic character support has been added alongside several new networks notably the Central Bank of Kuwait’s wide area network (CBK-Net) and Saudi Arabian Riyal Interbank Express (SARIE).

In September ACI acquired Australian based payments switch Distra for USD49m.
