As of 2021 there are 123,346 students in tertiary education in Lithuania, with 227,416 students in secondary and 116,981 in primary education. Lithuania spent 3.1% of its GDP on education in 2019.

Lithuania ranked 11th in the World Bank’s Doing Business Report (2020). In the 2019 report it finished 14th. In the World Economic Forum’s Global Competitiveness Report (2019), Lithuania finished 39th, after ranking 39th in 2018.
