UnionPay International has started rolling out its latest offering, known as Asia Theme Card, aimed at business travellers who frequently visit Asia.

The Chinese card company said that the mainstream institutions in Central Asia and Southeast Asia are expected to issue the card later this year.

The card is available in two variants: Travel Mate Asia and Asia Prestige.

Travel Mate Asia has been mainly designed for residents and visitors in Asia, whereas Asia Prestige has been mainly tailored for premium business travellers in Asia, who are looking for unique preferential services.

Travel Mate Asia offers cardholders exclusive access to Top 20 Asian destinations travel resources and benefits from selected Asian attraction discounts, transportation, Wi-Fi service and merchant privileges within the hotel, dining and shopping.

Asia Prestige cardholders can access to more than 850 VIP lounges in over 450 airports and high-speed railway stations. They can also avail the pickup service in 60 major Asian cities, global medical and tourism assistance, and VIP medical assistance in mainland China.
