Shared service provider to the NHS in the east
of England, Anglia Support Partnership (ASP), will receive
e-invoicing services from Tradeshift, the social network for
business.
The initiative will help ensure the public
sector makes prompt payments to its suppliers with a guarantee the
invoice will be accepted or rejected within five working days.
ASP provides invoicing services to 6,000
suppliers of the NHS and as such handles 425,000 invoices annually,
which have to be scanned manually and submitted in several physical
and electronic formats. Submitting invoices through the single
Tradeshift portal will help lower costs, improve accuracy, increase
the processing speed and reduce processing errors.
“We are committed to reducing our costs, as
part of the drive to achieve £20bn ($32.4bn) savings within the
NHS, and to making prompt payments to our suppliers” says Nick
Wood, Director of Shared Services at ASP.
ASP intends to make the use of Tradeshift
mandatory for all new and existing suppliers.
