S1 Corporation and Fundtech announce merger

Transaction banking solutions provider S1 Corporation has merged with rival Fundtech, in a deal worth $700m.The merged company will aim to utilise transaction banking to accelerate revenue growth alongside increasing margins and profitability, while using technology for value-added services. Enhancing geographic footprint will also be an intended goal of the deal.

Basware InvoiceOut to drive AP function efficiency

Purchase to pay solutions provider Basware has launched InvoiceOut, a process outsourcing service designed to fully automate key aspects of the Accounts Payable (AP) function. The service claims to help companies accelerate efficiencies in AP by externally managing labour-intensive elements of the invoice handling process. Invoice scanning is the most time consuming (38%) and error prone (41%) part of invoice processing, according to a research commissioned by Basware in 2010

NHS shared service provider adopts e-invoicing

Shared service provider to the NHS in the east of England, Anglia Support Partnership (ASP), will receive e-invoicing services from Tradeshift, the social network for business The initiative will help ensure the public sector makes prompt payments to its suppliers with a guarantee the invoice will be accepted or rejected within five working days ASP provides invoicing services to 6,000 suppliers of the NHS and as such handles 425,000 invoices annually, which have to be scanned manually and submitted in several physical and electronic formats

eWise looks to hasten adoption of new payment options

Payments and online financial management solutions provider eWise has announced its partnership with e-payments technology provider Affirmative Technologies to speed up the adoption of new payment alternatives for merchants, financial institutions and billers Under the deal Affirmative Technologies ACHNow and ACH Risk Manager will be integrated with US online banking enabled payments network (OBeP) Secure Vault Payments (SVP). By integrating our respective technologies, we are able to offer customers a one-stop shop for their payment needs, says George Bassous, CEO at Affirmative Technologies.

AcceptEmail and WorldPay strike email partnership

E-invoicing solutions provider AcceptEmail and online payment services provider WorldPay have joined forces to develop an integrated billing and online payment solution to encourage the use of email as a payment method.The co-operation will offer solutions based on structured e-mail, provided by AcceptEmail, with local and international payment methods facilitated by WorldPay.

Centrica adopts OB10 e-invoicing

OB10 has announced that international integrated energy company Centrica will be adopting its e-invoicing solution. This end-to-end e-invoicing solution by OB10, a global e-invoicing network, will aim to streamline Centricas accounts payable function by automating the ability to accept supplier invoices in a variety of international data formats.
