Global payment processor WorldPay and Telenor Business Internet Services have announced an agreement which will see WorldPay handle payments for the Norwegian company’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering.

Telenor Business Internet Services was established last January in order to add a global cloud broker service proposition for parent company Telenor Group.

Telenor said it chose WorldPay as a global payment service provider able to deliver secure global payment acceptance for business-to-business (B2B) transactions.

WorldPay was selected as provider for payment gateway, acquiring services, alternative payment acceptance and risk management services because of its global reach. WorldPay provides over 200 payment types globally, is connected to more than 50 local currency clearing systems and has more than 400,000 merchants worldwide.

Rada Drobjnak, chief financial officer at Telenor Business Internet Services, said:

"Our customers will also benefit from the partnership as WorldPay will enable Telenor Business Internet Services to grow our channels of revenue in line with our plans for international expansion."
