Neo Easycoin, a company dealing in Bitcoin exchange, has announced its plans to open a chain of Bitcoin transaction shops in Cyprus .

The company will also launch an online transaction server specifically for Bitcoin users in Cyprus .

Neo Easycoin said that they plan to launch the bitcoin transaction shops "to better inform people on what Bitcoin is, why it’s the future in monetary transactions and how people can gain access to it".

On 20 November, a Cypriot university became the first accredited university to accept Bitcoin as payment for tuition fees.

The University of Nicosia is also launching a Masters degree course on the subject of digital currency.

Andreas Polemitis, senior vice rector, said: "While digital currency is a relatively new concept, currency is one of the oldest human inventions,"
